Best UGC Platforms for Brands in 2026: Prices, Fees and Models Compared

A fair, numbers first look at the best UGC platforms for brands in 2026, what each one actually charges, and which model fits your order volume.

The best UGC platforms for brands in 2026 fall into three models: pay-per-video marketplaces such as Billo and Soona UGC, subscription-plus-fee services such as Insense and Influee, and open marketplaces such as Collabstr, JoinBrands and Wooly Network where you browse and book creators directly. There is no single winner. A brand ordering three videos a month wants a different platform than one running fifty a month across six creators, and the sticker price on a homepage rarely tells you the real monthly bill.

We have tried to be fair here, including to platforms we compete with. Every number below is attributed to a vendor page, a reseller review, or marked as reportedly true where the source disagreed with itself. If you only read one section, read the cost at volume table near the bottom: it is the part that actually changes a decision.

What are the three UGC platform pricing models?

Pay per video, subscription plus fee, and open marketplace. Each one moves the risk to a different place. A pay-per-video platform like Billo or Soona UGC charges a flat price and delivers a finished clip, so you know the cost before you order but you have less say in who makes it. A subscription plus fee platform like Insense or Influee charges monthly for access to the tool and tacks a marketplace fee onto whatever you pay the creator, so your bill moves with both plan tier and order volume. An open marketplace like Collabstr, JoinBrands or Wooly Network lets you browse profiles, message creators and set your own price, usually for a lower, usage-based fee rather than a mandatory subscription.

None of these is automatically cheaper. A brand that orders one video a month pays more per video on a $500 subscription plan than it would pay Billo outright. A brand running twenty campaigns a month usually outgrows the pay per video model fast because there is no bulk discount once you are past the first bundle.

Billo, Insense, Collabstr and JoinBrands: how four well-known UGC platforms compare

Billo is pay-per-video, starting at $99 a video with no subscription required, according to its own pricing page and several reseller reviews in 2026; bundles such as 6 videos for $500 or 14 for $1,000 have been reported, and usage rights are reportedly perpetual by default once a video is delivered. Insense runs on a subscription: self-serve UGC access starts around $500 a month (billed quarterly), with an Advanced tier near $1,500 a month, and a marketplace fee on top of every creator payment that vendor and reseller pages put somewhere between 7% and 20% depending on plan and whether you read the pricing page or the FAQ, so ask directly before you commit.

Collabstr is a free-to-browse open marketplace with a 10% brand side fee on every booking at the Free and Pro tiers; its Premium tier, reported around $333 a month billed annually, is said to cut that fee to 5%. JoinBrands stacks a monthly plan (reportedly $0 on Pay as you go, $99 on Startup, $299 on Pro) with a platform fee that drops as the plan rises, reportedly 15% down to 8%, and leans hard into TikTok Shop tooling, so brands whose main channel is TikTok often shortlist it first.

soona UGC, Influee and Wooly Network: the other options worth a look

soona UGC, the platform formerly known as Trend after Soona's 2023 acquisition, moved to pure pay-per-video pricing in 2026: creators start at $89 a video, with higher tiers for more experienced creators reportedly around $169 and $259, and no credit packages required. Influee is subscription plus a flat 10% marketplace fee on every plan, with tiers reportedly starting near $229 a month for a set number of creator collaborations that resets monthly whether you use it or not.

Wooly Network is a creator marketplace rather than a single-purpose UGC tool: creators join free, and brands can start on the Free plan with no credit card for One-Time Jobs, Recurring Jobs, Bounties, Paid Product Collabs and Affiliate Campaigns in one place. Wooly adds a fee to each collab, 20% on the Free plan and lower on paid plans (see pricing for the paid tiers), and the money is held until the brand approves the work. If you also want to find creators outside a single platform, that search works the same way.

Which UGC platform pricing is cheapest at real order volumes?

It depends almost entirely on how many videos you order a month, not on which homepage looks the most polished. Say you need 6 videos a month at an average $150 payout per video, $900 in creator spend. On Billo, that is roughly $900 to $1,100 with the bundle discount and no subscription. On Insense that is $500 (subscription) plus $900 in payouts plus a fee reportedly near 10%, so about $1,490. On Collabstr, it is $900 plus a 10% brand fee, about $990, with no required subscription. On Wooly's Free plan it is $900 plus a 20% fee, $1,080, with no subscription either, and the fee drops on paid plans once volume justifies it.

Run the same math at 25 videos a month and the subscription models start to look better, because the flat monthly fee gets diluted across more orders while the open marketplaces keep charging the same percentage on every single one. There is no universal winner. Build your own version of this table with your real numbers before you sign anything for a year.

How to pick the best UGC platform for your brand

Match the model to your order pattern, then check the two things vendors bury. First, usage rights: Billo's perpetual default sounds generous, but confirm in writing whether that covers paid media or organic only, since the two are usually priced and scoped very differently. Second, ask what happens to a fee when you cancel mid-cycle; subscription platforms rarely refund the unused part of a quarter. And before you commit a budget anywhere, compare the platform fee against what a fair creator rate already costs on its own, so you know how much of your bill is the platform and how much is the creator.

Common questions

What is the cheapest UGC platform for a small brand?

For a handful of videos a month, pay-per-video platforms like Soona UGC (from $89) or Billo (from $99) are usually cheapest because there is no subscription to carry. Open marketplaces with no required plan, such as Collabstr or Wooly's Free plan, are also competitive since you only pay a fee on what you actually book.

Do UGC platforms include usage rights?

It varies by platform and by what you pay. Some, like Billo, reportedly include broad rights by default; most others sell organic, paid media and whitelisting as separate add-ons priced as a share of the base rate. Always confirm the exact scope and duration in writing before a campaign goes live.

Is a subscription UGC platform worth it over a marketplace?

Usually only once you are ordering consistently enough each month that the flat fee gets diluted across many videos. Below that volume, a marketplace with no required plan, like Collabstr or Wooly Network, typically costs less overall.

Which UGC platform is best for TikTok Shop content?

JoinBrands markets itself specifically around TikTok Shop and Amazon shoppable video, so it is worth a look if that is your main channel and you want a single platform built around it.

Can I negotiate the fee a UGC platform charges?

Subscription platforms rarely negotiate the percentage fee but will sometimes discount the plan for an annual commitment. Open marketplaces are more flexible since you are often messaging a creator directly and agreeing a price before any platform fee is added.

Do these platforms vet their creators?

Most say they do, through an application or portfolio review, though the depth of vetting is rarely published in detail. Ratings and reviews from past brands, where a platform shows them, are a more reliable signal than a vendor's own claim of being vetted.
